Common Nova Verta booth problems

By the time a shop calls about a Nova Verta booth, three or four small faults are usually stacked up rather than one big failure:

Hard starts, repeated lockouts, and flame dropout mid-bake from fouled sensors, electrodes out of position, or gas pressure issues.
Slow heat rise from loaded intake filters, a slipping fan belt, a dirty exchanger, or a damper short of its bake position.

What you can check yourself

Some of this is shop-level work you don't need a technician for:

Read and log the manometer at the same time each day. The trend matters more than any one number.
Change intake and exhaust filters on readings and a schedule, not on complaint.
Keep floor grates clear and the cabin swept.
Wipe light lenses and note any that look yellow or dim.
Listen for new fan noise and check that belts aren't slipping.
Inspect door seals for tears, flattening, and gaps.

When to call a technician

Call when the fault involves gas, high voltage, interlocks, or measured airflow: repeated lockouts, temperature that won't hold, a noisy fan, dampers that don't travel, or dirt in the paint after fresh filters. Replacement light fixtures must suit the booth's area classification, so have a technician confirm the rating before ordering. Those are paint booth repair jobs.

Nova Verta booth service questions

Why is my Nova Verta booth taking so long to heat up?

Most often loaded intake filters, a slipping supply fan belt, a fouled heat exchanger, or a damper not reaching its bake position. Change filters first, then have damper travel inspected.

Can you get parts for a European-built booth?

It depends on the component. Many wear items, like belts, bearings, motors, sensors, and filter media, are standard commercial parts. The first step is identifying what's installed.

Do I need special light fixtures in a paint booth?

Yes. Fixtures must suit the area classification where they're installed, and that doesn't change when you switch to LED. See booth lighting problems.

Are you a Nova Verta dealer or authorized service center?

No. Spray Booth Services is an independent service company. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Nova Verta, and we'll tell you if something needs to go back to the manufacturer.

Can you service a booth you didn't install?

Yes. We work on booths regardless of who sold or installed them.

How quickly do you respond?

We respond to every request within one business day. If the booth is down, tell us when you call so we can plan the visit around it.
