Solvent and overspray attack elastomers first. Door gaskets, light-fixture seals, and wiring insulation in the cabin harden and crack. Overspray also builds on lamp lenses and inside light housings, cutting usable light long before a bulb fails.
Water and humidity hit the compressed-air side and the exterior. Failing dryers and drain traps put moisture into the air line, which shows up as fisheyes in the finish, not as an obvious equipment fault. Outside, exhaust stacks and roof penetrations corrode where condensate collects.
Vibration from fans works fasteners loose, fatigues duct joints, and slowly shifts motor and bearing alignment. Vibration you can feel with a hand on the housing is worth investigating.
Doors, seals, and the cabin envelope
The envelope is what makes the cabin hold pressure and temperature, and it's the part most shops ignore until finish quality drops. A door that doesn't seal makes the whole booth work harder and undermines everything the fans and burner are doing.
Controls, sensors, and instrumentation
Control generations differ, so a technician needs to confirm what's actually in your panel. The same categories go bad regardless: temperature probes drift, pressure switches stick, contactors pit and chatter, and interlocks (door switches, airflow proving, spray-mode permissives) fail in ways that either nuisance-trip the booth or silently stop protecting anyone.
